Kwarme is a pitch visualization for Untold Stories, a series conceived to bring historically important stories to the screen that have often remained untold because they are not seen as commercially viable for a large global audience.

The first chapter looks at the transatlantic slave trade between Africa and Brazil. Brazil received more enslaved Africans than any other country in the Americas, and Rio de Janeiro became one of the central ports of this forced migration. UNESCO estimates that around 900,000 enslaved Africans arrived through Valongo Wharf in Rio alone. UNESCO World Heritage Centre

For Kwarme, XMACHINA developed a cinematic visual language and a series of pitch images that help make this difficult history tangible and establish the tone, world, and emotional direction for the larger project.
